week,
the
City
launched
its
newly
redesigned
website,
updating
the
overall
look,
including
user-friendly
features
and
enhancing
customer
service
aspects.
Found
at citybigbearlake.com,
residents,
visitors
and
the
business
community
can
find
instant
weather
updates,
road
conditions
and
lake
levels.
In addition,
a new
search
feature
has
been
added.
More
news
and
events
are
highlighted,
encouraging
visitors
to take
advantage
of Big
Bear
Valley’s
abundant
recreational
opportunities.
The
website,
intended
to be
a first
point-of-reference
for
gathering
information
about
City
services,
includes
a list
of community
organizations,
service
clubs
and
public
agencies
that
serve
the
Valley.
New
features
will
debut
over
the
next
several
months,
including
a first-ever
on-line
payment
option
for
fees
and
Performing
Arts
Center
ticket
purchases;
and
electronic
news
alerts
for
residents
and
visitors.
Numerous
comments
on how
to improve
the
City’s
website,
including
its
functionality
and
purpose,
have
been
received
by the
community
over
the
past
several
years.
During
the
FY 05-06
Mid-Year
Budget
review
process,
Big
Bear
Lake
City
Council
approved
the
redesign
project.
The
City
of Big
Bear
Lake
is a
four-season
resort
located
in the
heart
of the
San
Bernardino
National
Forest,
approximately
30 miles
northeast
of San
Bernardino.
The
City
serves
a population
of 6,500
residents
and
covers
a 6.95
square
mile
area
on the
west
end
of Big
Bear
Lake’s
south
shore.

year-round,
including
skiing,
boating,
fishing,
camping,
hiking,
golf
and
fine
