The Building and Safety Division is the plan check applicant’s primary contact during the plan check review process and home of the ‘One-Stop Permit Center’. Initial plan check submittals and subsequent resubmittals are processed through the division. In addition to reviewing technical plan check submittals for compliance with state and local building code requirements, including the review and approval of commercial kitchen hood fire suppression and fire alarm systems, the division is responsible for the distribution of plans to the appropriate City departments and serves as the central collection/tracking point for all department and division plan review comments.
