Bob Jackowski was elected to the Big Bear Lake City Council in November 2012 and re-elected in November 2016. Bob has taken an active role in the community as a Board Member for the Big Bear Lake Fire Protection District and the Mountain Transit Board of Directors, Chairman of the Successor Agency and by supporting the Bear Valley Hospital Foundation, Soroptimist, Doves, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Strings Program, Lighthouse Project, and many others. Prior to City Council, Bob served as Chairman of the Big Bear Lake Planning Commission and as an appointment member for San Bernardino County on the Oversight Board for the Big Bear Lake Successor Agency.
Bob began his career in the Window Covering Industry following his honorable discharge from the US Army. He took a small company with 3 employees and, over 35 years, expanded it to include four factories in California and Arizona with 250 employees. Operating a successful company over the years has provided him the opportunity to acquire excellent management skills which serve a useful purpose on Council. Bob and his wife Regina have owned a home in the Big Bear Valley for 13 years, nine in the City of Big Bear Lake.
