The Finance Division provides general ledger accounting; financial reporting, auditing, fixed asset management, centralized purchasing, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable and cash disbursement services; manages and invests City funds; supports the financial information system; provides revenue management; administers assessment districts, provides ongoing budget analysis and control, and the prepares the annual budget document. The Division also handles financial transactions for the Fire Protection District and the Successor Agency to the Big Bear Lake Improvement Agency.


TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX (TOT) AND TBID DEFERRAL INFORMATION

On April 16, 2020,  City Council passed Resolution No. 2020-06 changing the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and Big Bear Lake Tourism Improvement District Assessment (TBID) remittance schedule for rental receipts within the period January 1–March 31, 2020 (1st Quarter 2020). Normally, this remittance would be due on April 30; however, the owner/operator may extend this deadline to June 30, 2020, without penalty or interest if the documents required below are submitted on or before April 30, 2020.
