Pursuant to Election Code §9212, the Council ordered a report on May 2, 2022 which analyzes the proposed changes the Measure entitled “Initiative Measure Amending the City’s Municipal Code to Limit the Number of Vacation Rental Licenses and Rental Contracts in the City and to Enact Additional Limitations and Regulations on Vacation Rentals” would make in the City’s regulations and their various impacts (e.g., economic, land use, employment).
Tourism Economics LLC, an Oxford Economics company, has prepared the report and made a presentation to City Council on June 6, 2022.
